Demo Chair@TEI08: I with Raphael Wimmer were demo chair in Tangible and Embedded Interaction (TEI) conference 2008 held in b-it, Bonn.(Feb 2008)

Teaching Assistance: I was TA for Designing Interactive System course offered by Dr. Rohs in b-it.(Oct 2007–Feb 2008)

UbiComp2007: I attended UbiComp2007 conference as student volunteer and also presented a paper and a demo.(Sept 2007)

Paper@Ubiwell: I presented a paper which was written with Florian Alt and Prof.Schmidt in UbiWell workshop during the UbiComp2007 conference.(Sept 2007)

Demo@UbiComp2007: I on be half of my groupmates, presented the CardioViz project az demo in Ubicomp2007.(Sept 2007)

UbiWell@Ubicomp2007: me,Prof. Schmidt and Florian Alt submitted a paper "Monitoring Heartbeat per Day to Motivate Increasing Physical Activity" in a workshop called UbiWell which will be taken place during UbiComp2007 conference in Innsburck, Austria. Fortunately the paper got accepted ;).(June 2007)

Pervasive2007: I attended as student volunteer  in Pervasive 2007 taken place in Toronto, ON, Canada.(May 2007)

CardioViz : CardioViz is a novel long-term ECG monitoring system that provides a possibility to capture and visualize ECG data with contextual information (like location, taken pictures, recorded audio etc.). This concept and system was developed to overcome the disadvantage of traditional long-term ECG monitoring system where the user has to write a diary to enhance ECG data with contextual information. With CardioViz this information is recorded implicitly by sensors which are wirelessly  connected to a mobile phone or explicitly by the user by taking a picture or making a recording.(Mar 2007)

Circular Edge Detection : Basically the goal of edge detection is to mark the points in an image at which the changes sharply. Sharp changes in image properties usually reflect important events and changes in properties of the world. Main Idea in this project is detecting and tracking circular object in a video based on report written by Jaroslav Borovicka. The application is implemented within Matlab and developed during  a lab course with two other classmates.(Feb 2007)

Java Application for PDA : In this project a Java application is developed which is run on PDA. The idea behind this application is  collecting data from customers and processioning  later. As PDA doesn't have any JVM, J9 virtual machine from IBM is used for running application. For designing  interface AWT  package is used.(Jan 2007)

Drawing on Quicktime Player for image processing : In this project, I implement  a Java program which in one hand uses QTJComponent to playback a video file, and on the other hand lets user  draws on video. Drawing fucntions are "Snake" and "Boundary Box". This program is used in SHARE project and idea is that let firefighter (user) watches thermal camera video, selects areas with drawing tools to process by image processing  server.(Oct 2006)

UbiComp2006:  I attended as student volunteer  in UbiComp2006 taken place in Orange County, Ca, USA.(Sept 2006)

T.I.P.S. : The Interactive Prompting System ( T.I.P.S.) is a web based  application. Generally prompting systems are systems that support people with congnitive disabilitis in theis daily taks. These systems provide a step-by-step guide to preform simple day -to-day tasks which maybe challenging when preformed on their own due to intellectuall or developmental deficiencies of the end-user. T.I.P.S was come out  during the final project our group had to during a course. Our system is simple prototype which descibes a task step-by-step. Each step has an image pluse text which is step's description, and TTS feature.(Sept 2006)

Digital Right Managment Seminar : During my study in RWTH, I had a seminar course about digital rights management and presented  paper  "Perceptual Data Hiding in Still Images" which was written by Prof. Mauro Barni from University of Siena, Dr. Franco Bartolini, Dr. Alessia De Rosa from University of Florence Italy. The paper  introduced a way to embedded data in an image by using human's eyes preception properties. You can find the report here and slides here.(Jun 2006)

Adaptive Prefix Coding for Data Compression : A fast  algorithm for prefix coding  based on paper "A Fast Algorithm For Adaptive Prefix coding" written by Prof. Karpinski and Dr. Nekrich from Bonn University is implemented. Implementation is done in Linux with C language.(March 2006)

City Window : The City Window is conceived as a geographical information system that offers the ability to superimpose information layers on a map. Layers can be seen as hubs to services offered though out the city, that is, they will mechanisms to couple activities that can be done in the city. For instance, a user can browse train information, available events and interesting places and combine them to create his own city experience.More details can be found here.(Jan 2006)
